While I’m not one of those guys that’s evil until they’ve have their first jolt in the morning, I do enjoy a good cup of coffee from time to time. Specialty coffee drinks are great but sometimes I’m just a fan of a black cup of coffee. That’s why I was eager to support my girl Angelica, who hosted the opening of the latest Blue Bottle Coffee shop in Washington, DC.
The Washington, DC scene is changing with all sorts of businesses entering into the market. In just a short period of time Blue Bottle has made its presence known. The latest opening in Union Market, marked its fifth store in the area. To celebrate, Angelica brought together some of her favorite influencers to showcase Blue Bottle’s latest store. Invite me for some great avocado toast and a cup of Joe and I’m there!
The Union Market space has a bright open interior and was the perfect place for great photo ops. In the past at these event openings, you’d only see media and all of the female influencers in town. It’s nice to see that male influencers are now being invited to the party. The addition of the guys means our voice is now part of the conversation on the hottest places to hit around this great town, which can only mean that DC will thrive even more.
Naturally a question I’m often asked is how do you dress for these events? Since this was a day event on a Friday in the middle of summer I decided to keep it casual. I don’t always opt for a tailored look to be at my dapper best. Lightweight fabrics and loafers done correctly not only stave off the summer heat but make a great elevated casual look. Perfect for this chic coffeehouse opening.
