September was Childhood Cancer Awareness month and I had the honor of serving as one of the co-chairs of the St. Jude Heart of Fashion. The annual fashion show is collaboration with St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and Neiman Marcus. The show featured the hottest fall fashions of the season.
What I like about St. Jude is their mission which is to end childhood cancer. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because they believe all a family should worry about is helping their child live. Given the great work they do and combining it with a fashion show meant a great afternoon of beautiful fashion for a worthy cause.
There was an amazing team who put together the event so my job was a little less daunting. You can be a success if you surround yourself with talented people. What was more daunting was to find something to wear. I chose a charcoal suit; it’s always one of my good go to looks and a great look for fall. With the right shirt/tie combinations a charcoal suit is very versatile and can look different all the time.
I had been dying to wear the goodies out of my August Sprezzabox. I was getting a fall vibe from the tie with its bold geometric pattern so I thought this would be great for the occasion.
