It’s that time of year and I.W. Harper has given me the opportunity to put together a holiday gift guide. I wanted to share some of my favorite things that will make great gifts and also embody the I.W. Harper spirit.
Over the last year, I’ve had a chance to show you what it means to “Live Like Mr. Harper.” Whether it was talking about I.W. Harper Straight Bourbon Whiskey’s reemergence back into the United States, showcasing its versatility in cocktails, providing style inspiration or just sharing it with friends, these experiences focused in on being the best and living life to the fullest. It is my hope that these gift ideas in this holiday gift guide continue to embody this I.W. Harper theme.
Shopping for that perfect gift for that special guy or even yourself? I think I’ve chosen some awesome items for my holiday gift guide that will fit the bill. Starting with the whiskey itself to a fantastic hat created in partnership with Goorin Bros to a well-curated selection of must haves, you’re sure to find something to showcase, “How to Live Like Mr. Harper.”
To make it easy, I’ve divided my holiday gift guide into 5 categories: Bar Essentials, Tech Gadgets, Clothing, Accessories and Grooming. And with shopable links, find that perfect gift has never been more convenient. I may have already snagged a few of these goodies for myself.
Showcase
I.W. Harper would be a great gift to find under the tree and tops my holiday gift guide. Hints of caramel and vanilla make it an ideal whiskey to incorporate in some of the season’s tastiest cocktails. The I.W. Harper 15 would be perfect to sip near a cozy fire, just add some rocks or enjoy neat. You’ll be remembered for your gifting prowess!
I.W. Harper has collaborated with Goorin Bros to produce The Harper, a limited edition fedora. Sharp and stylish this is one of those gifts you should grab now as not everyone will be able to get their hands on
one of these beauties.
Bar Essentials
For your whiskey fan or any cocktail lover, help him complete his in-home bar with these tools such as a great set of glasses, mixology tools or a whole bar set setup. Whiskey rocks also make an outstanding gift. Balls of Steel are a great pair to consider. The bonus? 15% of proceeds goes toward men’s health initiatives such as testicular cancer research. Is your guy on the go? The Carry-On Cocktail is the perfect stocking stuffer.
Clothing
A tuxedo is that thoughtful gift for the man who usually rents or is looking to add one to his wardrobe. Consider some of the on trend offerings from J Crew. A tuxedo in a midnight blue or an off white dinner jacket will really make a statement in a sea of black suits. Or steal my look. A bold camo print blazer from Billy Reid paired with a great pair of jeans (mine are by 34 Heritage) creates a good go to look many a holiday party. The splurge? That’s simple, a cashmere trench from Burberry.
Accessories
Completing a look with fantastic accessories can take that great ensemble to the next level. Tani Underwear is the definition of luxury underwear. With a modern fit and exquisite fabrics, it’ll be the only underwear to go underneath those well thought out outfits. Likewise don’t ruin a look with a cheap umbrella. Handsome styling with automatic features make the umbrella by Todd Snyder a winner.
Shoes are something you can build an entire look around. The Foxley by Jimmy Choo is a great formal shoe that also looks great with jeans. And who knew Timberland could make a stylish chukka boot in an amazing shade of blue?
Jewelry should be classic and simple and some of my favorite holiday gift guide items. The Black Classic watch by Daniel Wellington is elegant at an affordable price. For a splurge, David Yurman offers up a channel ring with 3 rows of diamonds.
Grooming
I’ve not always been the best at my skincare regimen but I finding with some great products my efforts are improving. Products by Kiehl’s and Lab Series are high on my recommendation list.I’ve also been on the hunt for good shaving products. Lately I’ve been getting a nice close shave from the Grooming Lounge Beard Destroyer and their Shavior is perfect for combatting razor bumps and soothing irritated skin. I’d be thrilled to receive any of these as gifts. (Hint. Hint.)
Any why not smell great as well. As cliché as it sounds, cologne can make great stocking stuffers. Two festive scents I’m craving this year have been Armani’s Code Profuma and Dior’s Sauvage. Both have been in heavy rotation for nights out on the town.
Tech Gadgets
Bluetooth speakers or headphones are all the rage for the techie on the move. The Ultimate Ears Boom 2 is the ultimate speaker by Logitech. This new version is now waterproof. Sudio’s Bluetooth headphones have great sound and come in a range of colors. I’m loving the blue ones right now.
Audiophiles are now clamoring for records and the Audio-Technica turntable can play records or convert to mp3s. While gamers will love the new Xbox One S on a new Samsung 4G tv.
I am working in partnership with I. W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and I am being compensated for my participation in this campaign. All thoughts/opinions are 100% my own. Whiskey is intended for those whom alcohol is legal and appropriate. Please Drink Responsibly.
