Although spring started a few weeks ago, it was hard to get into the spirit with winter still holding onto its icy grip. Especially after such a long winter, I find it hard to get in the swing of things until Easter. Growing up in DC, Easter was a time for new beginnings. I remember going to Raleigh’s to get my new Easter suit and to Hahn’s for a brand new pair of shoes. It was always an exciting time of year.
I love pastels for this time of year. Pinks, yellows, baby blues and lavenders remind me of those plastic eggs that I always looked forward to in my Easter basket. This year I wanted to capture my fond memories of the season in my look. To top it off, it was a beautiful spring day! Tan suit by Donna Karan, mini checked pink dress shirt by Robert Talbott and pink logo tie by Fendi. Finishing touches include pink pocket square by J. Z. Richards and snow white small lapel flower by Hook & Albert.
