Travel is one of the things that weighed heavy on the minds of designers and brands during New York Fashion Week Men’s. ONS, the New York based menswear brand, specializes in modern, travel-inspired attire for the global creative class.
For the ONS Fall/Winter 2019 collection, the focus was the dialog on aviation, altitude and functionality. The collection was inspired by international airport terminals, aerial views of city grids, bold tarmac markings and ulitarian uniforms. What we saw was a very functional collection somewhat along the lines of Theory but not so regimented.
Where Joseph Abboud looked to the past and was inspired by travel to America, ONS focused on international travel but with an eye to the future. ONS’ outwear delves into the utility mode with a robust selection of options. Much like Dear Miler, the collection makes that statement that the travel uniform need not be messy to be comfortable.
