Showing during New York Men’s Day during the first session was Descendant of Thieves. With a tagline, “Love thy neighbor, but dress like yourself, ” the label designed by Dres Ladro finds inspiration in the individualism of New Yorkers. That Ladro finds that inspiration in the Big Apple is a fitting tribute. Descendent of Thieves recently opened their first store on Bleeker Street.
The brand is known for its limited batch manufacturer process fostering the idea of individuality. For Autumn/Winter 2019, individuality can be expressed in taking staples and turning them into bold statement pieces. Descendent of Thieves achieves this with the use of striking colors and fabrics in surprising patterns such as animal prints and faux firs.
Oversized coats and colorful camouflaged prints in jewel tones gave the collection a nice lux look. These statement pieces will be great add-ons signature pieces come fall/winter 2019.
