David Hart has been one of the designers who has enjoyed tremendous success during New York Fashion Week Men’s. As a favorite during New York Men’s Day, Hart’s collections are one of the most anticipated presentations and always help to get the week off to a great start. For Autumn/Winter 2019, Hart’s inspiration was the minimalist wardrobe. While it was a much smaller shown than in previous seasons, it was still no less impactful.
In past seasons, David Hart has shown much larger presentations. He has given us a tribute to the brat pack era, a look at the Parisian male as well as presented looks inspired by the Watergate scandal shown during last season Spring/Summer sessions. The Watergate look struck close to home which is not to far off the mark for Hart who was born and raised not too far from Washington in Annapolis, Maryland. However this season, Hart toned his collection way down.
With only a few simple pieces, Hart showcased 5 tonal looks in just camel and black. While shown as monochromatic looks, the pieces can be easily intermixed to create a variety of looks. What’s nice was the fullness and cut of the pieces creating a decidedly American fit.
