Now that the Oscars are over, one of the hotly contested events is about to start. That is who will make the Best and Worst dress list. While the list will focus primarily on the women, I thought it would be great to check out how some of the guys fared during Hollywood’s biggest night. While I didn’t have the chance to attend the Academy Awards, I do have my tux ready for when the opportunity hits next year! So fresh from my couch, I give you,  DCFashion Fool’s best dressed men of the 2018 Oscars.

Armie Hammer

According to Jimmy Kimmel, Armie Hammer looks like a Ken doll which is why he was able to carry of the berry colored Armani suit. Bold colors don’t always work well on the guys as well as the women however this was a winner.

Ben Pasek and Justin Paul

While some may think the duo was robbed by not winning best song for “This is me,” the pair’s classic tuxedo styling made them winners as some of the best dressed men at the 2018 Oscars.

Tom Holland

The Amazing Spiderman proves that he can look as good in his tux as he does in tights. Holland was one of the few dapper gets sporting a double breasted tuxedo. This high DB by Hermes was a definite nod to old world style and sophistication.

Jordan Peele

The newly minted Oscar winner rocked a white dinner jacket by Calvin Klein. Jimmy Kimmel also sported this look for part of the night.

Ansel Elgort

Ansel Elgort was another who worked the color. His deep green tuxedo jacket by Tom Ford was another bold and successful jewel toned color choice. Honorable mention was Daniel Kaluuya in his caramel color Brunello Cucinelli tuxedo jacket.

Common

Common opted for a charcoal gray tuxedo with velvet lapels. Traditional styling in a great shade is why it made the best dressed men at the 2018 Oscars.

Chadwick Bosman

How does a king stand out in a sea of penguined suited chaps? That’s easy go the non-traditional tuxedo route but still look elegant. His look was from Givenchy Haute Couture

Timothee Chalemet

Not many could pull off an all-white tuxedo but Timothee Chalemet did it. The first time Oscar nominee wore this white suit complete with Chelsea boots with youthful exuberance and style.

Jimmy Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel had three costume changes throughout the night. The first a peaked lapel tuxedo with a vest was sharp as was his final look in the white dinner jacket. However the simple shawl collar of his second tuxedo jacket

LaKeith Stanfield

There were a lot of guys sporting midnight and navy blue tuxedos for the night including Willem Dafoe, Mark Consuelos and Gael Garcia Bernal. However Stanfield’s Ermengildo Zegna Couture not only looked fantastic but was made with sustainable fabric. It was made with Tussah Silk, which is sturdier than cultivated silk.

Patrick Stewart

Just because. The man can wear a tux! I keep hearing Captain Picard in my head, “Make it so!”

Adam Rippon

Not really a best dressed contender however worth a mention is Olymipic bronze medalist Adam Rippon. His harness inspired creation from Moschino is definitiely made a statement at the 90th Annual Oscar Awards.
