Recently I needed to create a business ready look for the weekend. Normally, Saturdays are non-workdays and I go with a more casual look. However I had a few meetings over the weekend and wanted to look professions. I knew the setting would be a little more informal so I didn’t want to go with a traditional suited look.Business Ready Weekend Business ready in no time DCFashion Fool posing in business readyBusiness ready in DC

While I’m not quite ready to gravitate to the lighter colors of spring, I did want go with some lighter fabrics. The folks at Bar III provided me with the opportunity to pick out a look I chose a great shirt, tie and pants combination that was the basis for my business ready look.

Suit separates are a great way option for a couple of reasons. First sizing can be a little more flexible since the blazer and pants are purchased separately. Second sometimes it’s easier to see the different clothing possibilities when the jacket is seen apart from the pants.

Mine is a slim lightweight version and the kicker is that it’s an awesome shade of blue. The weather in Washington can be a little tricky this time of year so it’s wise to have a great lightweight jacket have if you’re running around town. As I do shift to lighter colors the jacket will make a nice contrast over spring color shades.

Instead of my laptop it’s sometimes easier to use my iPad, if I’m just taking notes, reviewing emails and web browsing. So that meant I could scale down my bag so it could be a little less formal as well. Although late, I’ve been a fan of the tote my bag was just the right size to easily accommodate my iPad and could also holds a few other incidentals if needed. Once my meetings were over, I slipped my tie into my bag and converted my business ready look into something more casual.Business casual detailsBusiness ready loafer on steps to boot
