Last weekend I celebrated my birthday and was invited to brunch at Bourbon Steak. Brunch at a steakhouse? Why not. I enjoy a good steak and Bourbon Steak is an excellent steakhouse. Plus, I love brunch so to me this sounded like a winning combination. And since it was my special day, brunch at Bourbon Steak seemed the perfect place to celebrate the occasion.
Washingtonians are notorious for their love of brunch. And as restaurants welcome back patrons, a weekend brunch is one of the most popular things people are eager to return to. Bourbon Steak located at the Four Seasons is one of the latest establishments to throw its hat in the ring in the brunch game. Their entrance is definitely a contender.
As steak restaurant, you’d fully expect to see steak on the menu. Start with Michael’s Tuna Tartare and of course for your main course you can opt for Steak and Eggs. For a real treat, there is the A5 Wagu and Eggs, a 4 ounce wagyu steak, truffle eggs, crispy Pommes Anna and béarnaise. But it’s absolutely fine if steak doesn’t hit your plate during brunch at Bourbon Steak. I mean with choices like the Bourbon French Toast, King Craig Benedict or the Gigli Pasta, you really can’t lose. Plus you can always get ask for a side of braised bacon!
The new brunch is now a permanent fixture at Bourbon Steak. It is the continuation of their Cherry Hill Brunch Pop Up started back in April. While most people would think brunch at Bourbon Steak should be reserved for a special occasion, I think a beautiful weekend day is an excuse enough. Here’s a tip: for $35 brunch can be bottomless with a rosé (sparkling or still). There’s also a Dom Perignom option. If you pick that one, I’m available!
Shop My Look
You know me, I don’t need any excuse to put on some nice clothes. And now that we are out an about again, I’ve been looking forward to wearing great new looks. I have a thing for cricket sweaters. This one by Lacoste is right up my alley. I’ve paired it with a polo shirt but it would just as well with a buttoned-down shirt or a simple tee shirt. Blue chinos and white trainers complete my look. (Secret? I got these pants last year and before the shut down. Whew! They fit!)
